What happens if I sell my house?

That depends on the agreement. Some contracts transfer to the buyer, some can be bought out, and some require extra sale paperwork. Review the transfer and buyout language before signing.

Does it cost anything?

Some solar options advertise very little upfront cost, but every agreement still has payment terms. Compare the monthly payment, escalator if any, remaining utility bill, maintenance scope, and total obligation.

How long does it take?

The qualification check is quick. If you move forward with rooftop solar, timeline depends on roof review, design, permits, utility interconnection, equipment, and installer schedule.
